I will be making graphics to this lovely movie once I get back from Japan! Which brings me to the fact that I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow!! :D

From Copenhagen airport, just a few hours after teh President of US, Mr. Barack Obama himself, has passed through for a brief visit to discuss Olympic games 2016. Pretty kool if you'd ask me any other day, but tomorrow I have to do my japanese verbal exam, go back to fetch some presents I forgot to pack (me be stupid > A<) and try to get to the other side of the bridge between Sweden & Denmark, all the while it is, unfortunately (due to one very important person) shut down for some periods during the day. Wha! Needless to say I'm worried about whether or not I'll even catch my flight. D:

But stiiiiill, gonna work at ISO/TC 106 meeting in Osaka for roughly a week, helping in reception, running errands & translating stuff. And after that there's meeting friends, host family, USJ and just random fun! :D SoLookingForwardToAllThat ♥ I'm sure it'll be worth all the worrying and nervousness. Wish me Luck, darlings!

Allow me to SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I just read otterdance journal as well as the flewelling yahoo group and found out that the three first books of Nigthrunner series have been optioned for movies/mini-series by independent film company C-squared pictures and that they are already working on the script to Luck in the Shadows. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ asdfghjkl; !!!!11

I am absolutely dumbfounded. This is all because of mssamyx ♥ because she called me up and told me about Eli Roth [Inglourious Basterds], how he has twitted about Slash fiction, telling the world that there is Basterds pron fiction; "And no, I did not write this! (yet...)", as well as how his character is def. top and not bottom. And that he's showing it to Quentin!!! I'm srsly just too incoherent about all this right now to type it out properly. Just go read this post instead.

It wasn't a wild ride or even something that left a great impression on me, I was probably too young at the time. But I do remember it with a certain degree of fascination and a bit of embellishment. My sister had finished studying to become a make up artist and got involved with her first real movie (with a working-title and a manuscript!). This was around 2000-2001 I believe. It was a small scale project but with big money invested in it; one of the largest investors was the producer himself who had been involved in FramFab and Lord of the Rings. Inspired by the, at the time, widespread attitude regarding investments he took a large loan and aimed for the stars together with a group of friends. They were going to make a movie. "We're going to make the worlds greatest film!" and it was going to be EPIC! Occult film Noir with a budget of roughly 8 mil swedish kronor!!

Except it never hit big. In fact it never got past post-production. The dot-com bubble was a fact, and the whole project went bankrupt. The story and aftermath has since then been made into a documentary (2009) by two of the people involved in it, depicting this group of friends following their dream naïvely and believing that anything is possible.

It feels a bit weird to have been involved in this larger-than-life project, if only on the sideline. I remember my sister working as the make up artist & being heavily involved in this project for 7 months. She recruited me into being the main-character Nigel's little sister and I visited the set a couple of times to help her. Everything was very hush-hush and I had to promise not to tell anyone about the project. They had amazing sets and miniatures, it really seemed so large scale. The people involved really tried to make The movie of a role player's fantasy, and filmically it was, as far as I remember, really incredible. But unfortunately the lines and the quality of the spoken language had short-comings that could have potentially made it into "the worlds greatest B-movie!" but I digress.. for me it never left any lasting scars, having been involved in the project was only fascinating and magical. After the shooting was finished, and the talk of bankruptcy became known I just wondered what happened to all the hours of footage, the sets, the people and curiously one might think... "what was the movie really called?"

I found out yesterday when my sister told me that some of the people involved had made a documentary about it. The documentary was called The Film I'm No Longer Talking About but the movie itself had been called "Making Plans for Nigel". What marvel it was to see the documentary, to see the still-photos she had taken there... but most of all to see my sister on the set, working. Suddenly it's like the pieces all fit together.

Actually finished watching Maurice last week when home sick. I started watching it a couple of months back but was waaay too tired and couldn't really follow. But after finally watching the entire thing I'm totally hooked on everything E.M. Forster! I borrowed the book for Maurice & his short story collection the Life to Come from the library and finished the latter in just one day. He has such a wonderful way of writing & the flow of his text just makes it incredibly easy to read (even though there's quite a lot of olde english).

So I'm curious if anyone has any recommendations for slash fiction (pref. original but fanfiction works too!) that involves Gentry & Lower class romance~ ♥ Also good original slash fiction depicting difficulties before/coming out set in college?! And while on the subject any good gay movie recs? I heard about one called Shelter, does anyone know if it's as good as people say it is???

Watched the premier (here in Sweden) of Star Trek♥XI last friday.

Anyone else here (Trekker? First time ST-fan?) feel like discussing it/ranting about it? Any thoughts, positive, negative, bland, anything... I welcome everything since my feelings are quite mixed as well.

Wee!! Finished with hearing-comprehension AND speaking. I don't dare guess how it went, but I'm just happy to have them over-with! Now I can focus wholeheartedly on the Japanese written exam (grammar etc) coming this saturday. JAPA11 I'm gonna kick your ass!!!

SOON VACATION! WEE-HAA! I borrowed some BL NOVELS of a classmate, so I'm totally engrossing myself with those during our break. Maaan, it feels good to finally be able to relax. And I'm definitely gonna get better at this eljaying business! （〇ｗ〇）/〃

Once again I end up cleaning the kitchen instead of playing FF. Oh Man! Need to stop cleanfreaking.

...might actually be more comfortable than sleeping with your baseball glove. Yesterday I was pretty exhausted after spending all afternoon playing catch (and doing various drills) with Jerry. So when I went to sleep I forgot my glove, tied with a baseball in it (to break it in properly!), lying in the blankets. It doesn't really explain the weird dream I had and luckily I didn't get any bruises. But why I dreamt that my job asked me to cover for someone in another resturant --Skildpadden-- where I was forced to do dances and sing whenever the customers asked for it, I don't know. Gah. I remember how frustrated I was; thinking "I'M A WAITRESS, NOT SOME DAMN PREFORMANCE ARTIST!!"

I've decided to delurk somewhat. I still work fulltime & study astronomy at 25%, but I really miss writing in a journal. And I miss you guys. So. I'm giving it a try! Again! OTZ

I cut my hair again. Short in the front, long in the back, more radical than before, but not really Reno style yet and still blondish. Whaddaya think?

In other news Oofuri ate my life. When Emi came back from Japan and brough home the stuff I had asked her to buy me, amongst which 8 volumes of Oofuri, it took me less than two weeks to finish them. Reading it on the train to work and then on the way back. I actually missed my stop once because of a pinch moment in the Tosei-match (already knew how it would end, but maaan~~). Remind me to relax/sleep during Uppcon, next time. Driving 5 hours straight after working at a con for three days (plus a week of preparations) isn't the greatest idea either. At least I took two 15 min breaks. When we finally got home at 3am I just went to sleep and woke up at noon. Man I deserved that.

I've learned some valuable lessons about arranging Cosplay masquerade! And will hopefully not repeat my mistakes of Uppcon:08.. - 0-; The only thing I find regretful is the fact that I barely had any time to cosplay myself (meaning my group couldn't really get any good pictures of all of us!). But hopefully I can gather all of us for a photoshoot sometime soon in the future!! With an even bigger group/everyone participating (one day before the con our Eiko found out she wouldn't be able to come). Gah, why do we all live so far away from each other, in completely different parts of Sweden?!

Wow, it's been a while. I've been so stressed out and busy I've scarcely had time to register. I feel bad for not being good on my promises to people D: I eventually want to write up about this summer, but it feels like when I finally get around to doing it... by then everyone will have forgotten about it. XD ;;

So why have I been so busy? I don't even know. I finally finished school in spring & I came back from USA over two months ago. = more freetime?

I suppose work, cosplay & commissions is what has kept me busy? This Uppcon I'm not participating in any masquerade, but instead I was asked to rewrite the rules for Uppcon's masquerade & now they also asked me to sit in one of the cosplay!jury's. I'm still gonna participate in a skit though. ^^;

The awesome aatash made me realize that the awesome manga "Lovely Complex" has been turned into a ANIME!!! Which is AWESOME TIMES THREE!!! ♥



For those who haven't heard of the series (most people I suppose?)
Title: ラブ★コン "Lovely Complex"
Mangaka: 仲原アヤ　[Nakahara Aya]
Story: It's a manga about a tall girl called Koizumi Risa [170 cm] and a short boy called Ootani Atsushi [156 cm], and since they live in Oosaka they talk in Kansaiben ♥ Not only that though, a lot of their interaction quickly turns into a Manzai when they start to argue... and because of their height their teacher Nakano once called them オール阪神・巨人 "All Hanshin Kyojin" [a reference to both the Japanese comedians called just that, and the Japanese baseball teams "Hanshin Tigers" (Oosaka) and "Giants" (Tokyo)] and thus the "Manzai combi" was born.

Why do all the good stuff have to come to an end?! > 3< I was enjoying my Under Ground Grand Hotel addiction so very much~ I have been thinking of getting the manga for a while, but after reading it... Now I really have to get it ♥

Today was a fairly eventful day! Yay!

Started out with me holding a presentation in our Swedish class. The subject was supposed to have ties with "Modern times", so I started out thinking I could talk about our societies problems with how younger people spend more and more time home infront of the computer/TV and then tell all the pros (and cons) of DDR. But I just had a hard time convincing even myself I could make that interesting enough... so then I thought that I could talk about Japanese... but there was the problem of explaining how the Japanese language has any clear ties to "Modern times". So after having a random conversation with my Physics teacher about Star Trek; Deep Space Nine, and after consulting with myself, I finally decided to make a comparison of Star Trek gadgets and modern technology~~ WOO-HOO! Touchdown! Candy vs. School, 1 - 38.

I was also invited to participate in a panel on my friend's TV-show, on a local TV station in Lund. They had invited a manga community [Mangakai Lund] that showed some Cosplay (L, FMA & Ah! Megamisama!) and me and this other guy got to talk about our experiences while living in Japan (he had been studying in Japan for 2 months through his university~). It was interesting! My friend, the host, managed to make it into quite entertaining show~ And the band that played, "Fairfield", was actually really good live all the band-members were really nice in person! :D

Wha, gotta get some sleep... x_x;

I've decided that something needs to be done about my eljay-layout. I love my old layout (courtesy scientific♥) but my paid account has long since expired and it is simply time to get something new and inspiring. I might actually get a paid account again. But what I'm looking for is someone who would be up for the task of helping me give my eljay-layout a new and fresh look~♥ I haven't got the time to do it considering all the school work (I dunno if that's a bad thing considering I probably wouldn't have done a decent job anyway though. ^^;) but if anyone happens to have the freetime and motivation to do it, in exchange for something I'm capable of doing, I would be very thankful! Requests for what I should do are welcome, but I would like to reserve the right to decide freely what I will and will not do!

No pressure nor requirements; except to follow through if you do take it upon yourself.

Naruto Yay @ Kishimoto-sensei. I always knew he'd come through for us BL/yaoi-fans again (I mean he did it when he had SasuNaru kissing in the beginning!), and I wasn't disappointed. In my head the only reason Naruto didn't approve was 'cause he wasn't in there XD; I also found it amusing that Sakura was totally diggin' it, heheh I knew she had it in her (this now officially makes the fanfics that have Sakura come out as a total yaoi fan CANON WOO-HOO BABY!). Actually looking forward to the next chapter!

PoT Gotta love the cover to #37~♥ I just need to find out what the HELL is up with MomoKai wearing masks XD; Wooo now that's SuperheroTennis suits gone awry! ...That me and Hiku hafta cosplay XD;

Which leads me onto the awesome-ness of the year: I'M GOING TO USA this summer~~~! Woo-hoo!♥

But first thing's first, I gotta survive my last semester and finally graduate D: Aghhhh, school is eating all my eljayfreetime.

It started to snow like crazy yesterday! The intensity and strength of both wind and snow took everybody here by surprise. It usually snows more to the north of Sweden, but sometimes I suppose we get our share as well.

Me and a friend went out and played around in the snow (over at the local skatepark). The wind was so severe on tope of the skatepark (which is very close to the harbor) that you couldn't stand straight! He also played around with his car on a parking lot close by. There were actually 5 other cars on that same parking lot (when we left), fooling around too. XD I was mighty amused at how silly people become when it starts to snow.

FFXII: It's quite rare for me to purely run around and level this much in a RPG, but I seriously enjoy just running around for hours beating monsters. I've played about 40 hrs, and I'm seriously contemplating the possibility that only 10~15 of them are actual storyline XD; (I'm in King Raithwall's tomb, everyone is at lvl 26). I was pretty sceptic towards FFXII, but I guess this confirms my suspicion that I'm hooked. Thank you pugvonstardock ♥
